Interventional Radiology - General
Discover the world of interventional radiology! This module offers a clear overview of the basic principles, the crucial roles of interventional radiologists, and their growing importance in patient care.

Imaging Techniques
- Ultrasound
- X-ray Fluoroscopy
- CT
- MRI
Various imaging techniques can be used for procedures within interventional radiology. The most commonly used techniques are explained below.
Ultrasound
Advantages:
- No ionizing radiation is used (unlike with X-ray fluoroscopy and CT).
- An ultrasound machine is relatively easy to move and mobile (which makes interventions throughout the hospital possible, even in non-mobile patients such as those in the ICU).
